MEDICINE
Used in the San Diego hydrotherapy lab at Bastyr University. Where they are looking at steam inhalation, hot baths, herbal baths and studying it more for doctors to be able to intentionally use these rather than pharmaceuticals. Arguing that water heals and as such, should be used over more invasive and pharmaceutical options. Another university is studying steam to heal swollen prostate. Shoot the steam at the enlarged prostate which makes it melt away. Aka Rezum water vapor therapy!
HERBS WE USE
At Uke Mvuke we have sourced our herbs within Australia which have been professionally and ethically blended by our suppliers. We have five different herbal blends to cater to identified main categories that our clients fit in.
ZIMA
Our first herbal blend is called ‘Zima’. Zima means universal in Swahili meaning all clients are safe to use it. This blend has cleansing, disinfecting, blood tonic, kidney tonic, deodorizing and aromatherapy properties that help with shedding stagnation, and address excess dampness that usually leads to bacterial/yeast infection. It further gives nutrients to the blood, specifically iron or B vitamins. It also moisturizes the body and addresses dryness. Finally, it also helps with digestion alongside deodorizing, and relaxation.
THABITI
Our second herbal blend is called ‘Thabiti’ which is Swahili for immovable. This herbal blend has homeostatic and tonic properties that are specifically designed for users with uterine bleeding sensitivity by helping clients in this category with stopping bleeding. This herb also has a temperature that aids our clients with a cold uterus.
SAFISHA
The third herbal blend that Uke Mvuke sells is our ‘Safisha’ which is best translated as cleansing. This one is an obvious in that its properties help with cleansing the residues in the uterus that a period does not do properly. This is our circulatory herbal blend with blood moving herbs. It is only supposed to be used with clients who have menstrual cycles that are 28 days or longer or clients whose periods are controlled with oral contraceptives.
UUA
Our fourth herbal blend is our ‘Uua’, aka disinfecting in Swahili. This herbal blend has properties that would work well with our clients that are prone to stubborn and recurring infections by helping alleviate the symptoms that these clients experience. It’s packed with disinfectants, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
POOZA
Uke Mvuke’s fifth blend is “Pooza” which means cooling in Swahili. This herbal blend is the perfect best friend for our clients who struggle with excess heat uterus issues. This herbal blend helps the body cool down and does not create heat, and it also helps to hydrate the body.
